Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex legal transactions. The Corporate Lawyer will work closely with senior management and various departments to provide legal guidance and support on a wide range of corporate matters.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance issues.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of corporate agreements and contracts.
Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for potential business transactions.
Advise on legal rights, obligations, and risks in business transactions.
Ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for business growth and risk management.
Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage external legal counsel as needed.
Stay updated on changes in corporate law and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to the bar and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Strong knowledge of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance regulations.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
